Abe Ovadia originally moved to New York to pursue a Masters Degree.
Since his arrival in 2009, he has become an essential part of the New
York jazz scene as both a guitarist & composer. Abe has lead his band
at notable venues including The Cornelia Street Cafe, Twins Jazz,
Sullivan Hall, Smalls Jazz Club, & Chris’ Jazz Cafe.
He has been called “a musician with heart and soul, who puts his

Jean-Michel Pilc. Abe has gained the title of a “Promising Artist of
the 21st Century” by Half Notes Records Producer Jeff Levenson when he
was selected to tour Costa Rica in the summer of 2010. His debut album
“The Jem” was released spring 2011 which features pianist Benito
