Guitarist and composer, Antonio Onorato was born in Aquilonila in the province of Avellino, Italy in 1964.  He is one of the principal exponents of ?Neapolitan Jazz?, the new musical trend  that fuses the harmonic melodies of traditional Neapolitan music with Afro-American music.  He first presented this style to the N.Y. community at a performance at the Blue Note in 2005.   He, also, performed the same year at Trumpets Jazz Club in Montclair, NJ.
A scholar of ethnomusicology, his works have been influenced by African (Angolan), Brazilian, Middle Eastern and Native American cultures.  He is the only musician in the world to have used the ?Breath Guitar?, a revolutionary instrument. He has invented a personal technique that allows him to play the guitar as if it were a woodwind.  
He has collaborated with many internationally acclaimed artists, including
Toninho Horta and Franco Cerri.  He has also composed film scores and music for theater for Rai, Mediaset , and BBC.  Antonio has an intense concert schedule that in Italy and throughout the world. His guitar is a messenger of peace and love and a struggle against the injustices of the world.
