Dyad Plays Puccini
Two incomparable classical and jazz artists, saxophonist Lou Caimano and pianist Eric Olsen, bring Puccini’s timeless melodies into the jazz dimension.
Eric and Lou recorded their first album Dyad to great critical acclaim in 2008. Now these seasoned musicians bring their artistry to the wonderful music from Madame Butterfly, La Boheme, Tosca, La Rondine, La Fanciulla del West, Manon Lescaut, Gianni Schicchi, and Turandot. These beautiful melodies are explored in depth in a sensitive and original way, bringing new life and meaning to the original works. They’ll take ten famous PUCCINI arias and put their own unique jazz, R&B, latin and calypso twist on them…making for an evening of pure musical delight!
The artists welcome audience feedback on the music, which will be recorded on their next album. Come and be a part of this unique artistic endeavor.
