Trumpets proudly presents acclaimed jazz performer Bob DeVos returning with this quartet of four brilliant virtuoso musicians. Together they boast 100s of recordings and propel forward the history of straight ahead jazz with each member having his own distinctive voice and deep experience and heritage.

Veteran musicians and composers Bob DeVos, Andy LaVerne, and Steve LaSpina have long admired one another’s playing, improvising and composing. In recent years they have taken that musical affinity to the stage in quartet form, joined by NYC ace, first-call drummer Jason Tiemann. Come hear why this group performs to SRO audiences and standing ovations.

With long, blues-drenched melodic lines and a horn-like approach, Bob has a signature style of groove and sophistication. A modern player with strong traditional roots, DeVos is at home with straight-ahead jazz, blues, Rhythm & Blues, funk, Latin and more. Beginning with Breaking the Ice, produced by Charles Earland, DeVos’ CDs as a leader for HighNote/Savant and other labels have earned rave reviews and many stars in Downbeat and throughout the jazz media, were among top five on the jazz charts for many months, and appeared on top CDs lists. Bob performs at major jazz clubs, concert stages and jazz festivals worldwide.
