The group consists of three sisters and their father, with the eldest sister, Corina, on flute, middle daughter Lia on Brazilian 7-string guitar, baby sister Elisa on bandolim (Brazilian mandolin), clarinet, and piano, and their father, Eduardo, on percussion. Each member of the family is a virtuoso in his or her own right and has earned the respect of colleagues and performers around the world. The band plays Brazilain Instrumental Music, and their main style is Choro music, an instrumental music genre that emerged in Brazil on the 19th century.
Well-known to Brazilian audiences as a regular feature on choro features on Brazilian television, they are currently on their 6th annual 5-month international tour, which includes the United States and Europe. Their eight critically-acclaimed CD releases are well-known to fans of Brazilian choro, and their latest release, Viajantes, will be available at their 2018 tour performances.
