4:00-4:20pm – Vocal Academy – Directed by Amy London & Dylan Pramuk
4:30-5:10pm – Adult Combo – Directed by Ted Chubb
5:20-6:00pm – Jazz House Community Big Band – Directed by Ed Palermo

The Jazz House Adult Ensembles directed by Ed Palermo and Ted Chubb give students a chance to dust off their horns or instruments and learn how to jam with the pros. Students progress from learning how to play the blues and classic repertoire, to learning advanced improvisation and studying the compositions of the jazz icons.

The Vocal Jazz Academy is directed by renown vocalist Amy London and Dylan Pramuk. The Vocal Academy is a 3 hour Saturday program for vocalists preparing to attend jazz universities, as well as singers who simply love to sing jazz and learn the skills needed to be a professional jazz singer.  Each week students hone their vocal technique, learn to scat sing, sing as a soloist with a rhythm section, and perform with a large vocal group.3 p.m.-6 p.m.

Celebrating their 16th year, Jazz House Kids provides the framework inside which students from diverse backgrounds can play, sing and appreciate America’s original musical art form. Through music, mentoring, education and apprenticeship, Jazz House Kids cultivates tomorrow’s community leaders and global citizens so they may build vibrant communities where they live.
