Lenore Raphael’s multi-dimensional jazz career has earned her accolades from her fans, outstanding reviews from critics, and the respect of her fellow musicians. A tireless, performer, composer and educator, she is a Steinway Artist. She has performed at major jazz clubs and festivals worldwide, including The Joy of Jazz in South Africa, The London Jazz festival, The Ottawa International Jazz festival and the Tel Aviv jazz festival.
A lifelong admirer of piano greats Oscar Peterson, Bud Powell, and Bill Evans, critics have praised her style as, “swinging”, “emotional”, and “artistically subtle”. She participates in jazz workshops and master classes around the world and is the host of her own hour-long radio program, “Lenore Raphael’s Jazz Spot”, featuring guest artists talking and performing with her, on www.purejazzradio.org, www.jazzlondon.com, www.radiooverburg.co.za and KCME.FM.
