Bring your instrument/voice and join  or just sit back and listen.

 Bring your the sheet music, preferably in  your key. This is a Broadway Jam, so
sing a few Broadway tunes! Remember that some of our favorite jazz standards
began as tunes in Broadway shows!
 We will have a list for singers/instrumentalists to sign. Please include your title and key.
This is going to a be a fun evening for performers and members of the audience!

  

 Jacqueline Dougherty is a retired music teacher and choral conductor.  Among her gigs nowadays are Senior Clubs and a workshop called Singing for Health and Community.

Award winning and critically acclaimed mezzo-soprano, Ema Mitrović, is described: “I found..Mitrovic as the Monitress to be the standout” (Opera Manhattan, Suor Angelica ‘12), “…her rich mezzo is pure pleasure” (Hudson Opera Theatre, Lucia di Lammermoor ‘18).  She’s performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, International House Philadelphia in the title role, Carmen, Birdland, The Kitano, and Smalls.  Ema has worked with such names as Anthony Laciura, Tim Horner, Joe Locke, Roseanna Vitro, Paul Meyers, Allen Farnham.  As a performer of a wide range of music, Ema strives in joining audiences across all genres.  Opera/Theatre Credits include: Title/Mercédès (Carmen), Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Mrs. McLean (Susannah), Larina (Eugene Onegin), Siébel (Faust), Hansel (Hansel & Gretel), Maddalena (Rigoletto), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly), Prince Charming (Cendrillon), Dritte Dame (Die Zauberflöte), Mother (Amahl and the Night Visitors), Marta (Company), Jack’s Mother (Into the Woods), Alto Solo (Dvořák’s Requiem).

O’MARA LEARY has acted on the New York stage at the Signature Theatre, h.e.r.e., Ensemble

Studio Theatre, John Houseman Studio Theatre, Westbank Downstairs Theatre Bar and

Westbeth Theatre, among others. She has performed original spoken word at Nuyorican Poet’s

Café and created solo spoken works with music at gargoyle mecanique laboratory and the

Westbank Downstairs Theatre Bar, and as a singer/songwriter has performed at The Village Gate,

The Bitter End, and Triad, and cabaret at Don’t Tell Mama.

She wrote lyrics for the award-winning jazz musical Angel on My Shoulder (York Theatre, Midtown

International Theatre Festival 2014). She wrote book and lyrics for a new original musical, Snow.

She performed as a founding member of The First Amendment Comedy Group (with Bruce Willis),

The Usual Suspects at Who’s on First and Rubber Feet, and co-hosted and wrote for The Joke

Show for 2 years, performing with guests including Ray Romano and Lewis Black.

Her film work includes The Day Lincoln Was Shot (TNT), the independent horror feature Don’t Go

in the House, shorts Jake and The Patriot Game, and she provided dubbing for the Bruce Lee films

Fist of Fear and Game of Death. Her voiceover work includes doing Rosie O’Donnell for Topps’

Hollywood Zombies. She studied classical acting at Barnard College

Annette Altavilla

Although trained in acting and a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC Annettes first love is singing.  First inspired by her fathers music and the great jazz vocalists such as Sarah Vaughn and Nancy Wilson,  she has an extensive repertoire based on the American Songbook and our Broadway stage.
