Jewelry & Jazz

Instructor Mary Moore started beading as a child while vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard and at Cape Cod where she learned to make Native American inspired designs. She gave up beading in favor of sewing, crocheting and knitting as a teen.
She was inspired to bead again as an adult, about 5 years ago, after visiting bead supply stores to admire the beads.
Mary makes her most inspired pieces during bouts of insomnia. She purchases her most beautiful and expensive beads during her annual trip to the Whole Bead Show in New York City. She prefers to use natural stones, shells, crystals, brass, sterling, UltraFine silver, and copper findings over plates or gold filled.
Cost Estimates for beading class:
$10 per person for the one hour lesson on hand knotted necklace and simple drop earring set.
