Nat Janoff

A guitar player for 17 years, New Jersey native Nat Janoff has performed with jazz greats Michael Brecker, Kenny Burrell and Dave Samuels. His soulful and almost narrative style finds its roots in the music of the great innovator, John McLaughlin along with fiery influences of the technical rock guitar masters of the 80s. In addition to his degree in Jazz Performance from William Paterson College, Mr. Janoff has studied with Mike Stern, Paul Bollenback of the Joey DeFrancesco Quartet and Vic Juris of the Dave Liebman Quartet. Mr. Janoff?s engagements throughout the tri-state area have included the 55 Bar and The Bitter End, New York City and Trumpets Jazz Club, Montclair, New Jersey. Mr. Janoff currently teaches private guitar lessons, runs seminars and clinics and is a guest instructor at the William Paterson Summer Jazz Camp.

Nat Janoff is a professional guitarist and composer. Most recently Mr. Janoff has released his latest CD, ?Nat Janoff Jake Schwartz ? Live,? a world music/acoustic guitar album with fellow guitarist, Jake Schwartz. In 1999, Mr. Janoff independently released a jazz/fusion album entitled, ?Looking Through? with Matt Garrison on bass and Gene Lake on drums.

Mr. Janoff received a B.A. degree from William Paterson University, Wayne, New Jersey and has been a student of renowned musicians, Mike Stern, Paul Bollenback and Vic Juris.
