OSPAC?s World Music Festival on Sunday, July 11th from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Relax and enjoy a late summer afternoon and cool evening at the Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center located off of Prospect Avenue at 4 Boland Drive in West Orange, New Jersey. Experience music, dance, cuisine and crafts from around the world at OSPAC?s World Music Festival on Sunday, July 11th from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Co-sponsored by Trumpets Jazz Club in Montclair, N.J., the festival will feature world-renowned musicians performing folkloric pieces and original compositions influenced by Jazz, Gyspy music, Armenian, Brazilian, Flamenco, Italian, Israeli, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Latin American, Portuguese and African rhythms and melodies. The festivities will begin at 3 p.m. with activities for children, including face painting, arts and crafts, and storytelling. Vendors will sell ethnic foods representative of several world cultures and artisans will display and sell their artwork and crafts. Among the performers are award-winning Italian-American guitarist/mandolinist John LaBarbera; Italian guitarist/harmonica player and vocalist Enrico Granafei; Israeli percussionist, Gilad; Brazilian vocalist, Yashmin Charnet; Sona Yeghiazaryan, Armenian vocalists; Fatima Santos, Portuguese Fado vocalist, and Peruvian Marinera folk dancers. The cost of the event is $10 for teens and adults and $5 for children 3-12. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
