Audrey grew up in New York City and fell in love with the American Songbook as a child.  Starting with her obsession as a 10-year-old with Fred Astaire and the Broadway musicals of the 20s through the 50s, Audrey’s love of the American Songbook eventually grew into a love of jazz and a fascination with the likes of Joe Williams, Bill Evans and Ella Fitzgerald.

Starting as a straight-ahead jazz singer who performed mostly standards, Audrey Silver now also sings original works, contemporary pieces, and elegant French songs.  Each time she performs, she hopes her audience will experience the same beauty, fascination, and joy in the music that she does.

Audrey Silver has been performing for over 15 years at venues including  Jazz at Kitano, the Cornelia Street Café, 55 Bar, Club Bonafide, the Tanglewood Jazz Festival, and the JVC Jazz Festival.

Audrey’s latest album, Very Early, was released in October 2016 and reached #100 on the Jazz Week Chart, #10 on the RMR’s top 50 jazz albums, and #11 on the CMJ chart.  It was in regular rotation on WBGO for several months earlier this year, including a live interview and performance with Michael Bourne on his Singers Unlimited show in October last year.
