Founder and lead singer of ‘Heart Like A Wheel,’ Stella Crispo was born to Italian immigrants in Hoboken, NJ and grew up listening to everything from Mozart to Queen. She began piano lessons at age 6 and eventually graduated from Manhattan School of Music Prep in New York City, attended Westminster Choir College in Princeton and completed her undergraduate degree in Classical Voice.  Throughout her formative years, she was inspired to ‘sing it all’ just like her idol, Linda Ronstadt. ‘I have been forever influenced not only by the beauty of her voice but her ability to bridge styles and cultures.’ Stella’s coaches have included Kathy Olsen of Encompass Arts, the late Paul Gavert (Joel Grey, Betty Buckley, Glenn Close) and Patricia Carey, Mariah’s mother.  Stella’s career has taken her from performing at venues like Newark, NJ’s Performing Arts Center several times including an invitation to give a pre-show concert for Liza Minnelli to being a National Anthem singer at Prudential Center also in Newark, NJ. She has been heard on jingles, off-Broadway and in Europe. A prolific songwriter, Stella’s release ‘Out of the Rain’ has been heard throughout the world and been on the charts since October 2018. Her newest release is ‘Face to Face’ about our dependence on cell phones in relationships. ‘Heart Like A Wheel’s’ is comprised of seasoned musicians. Their first show at B.B. King’s was a huge success and was followed by outdoor concerts and events including opening up for Eagles tribute ‘Hotel California.’

Glenn Dinetz (piano/keys) was one of the members of The Fuzz Band, a group of all North Jersey police officers who enjoyed brief fame on the news channels. He was also a member of a popular local band, The Cherry Brothers for over 20 years. While in the corporate world, Glenn was the arranger and producer for the Big 4 professional services firm Deloitte Consulting’s big band Unrestricted Entity.  He is thrilled to be playing with ‘Heart Like a Wheel.’

Paul J Baccash (lead guitar/vocals) performs solo as well as with full bands of all genres. He appears at casinos, clubs, festivals and private events. Paul is also a songwriter, producer and engineer and owns his own professional recording studio.

Monique Canniere (violin/vocals) is a professional violinist and singer, and also plays viola, ukulele, mandolin, guitar, flute and penny whistle. She has gained a solid mastery in a wide range of styles and has strong roots in traditional Celtic music, which she performed with her father Vic in competitions and folk festivals since the age of six. Monique earned her BM in Performance at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania and has been greatly influenced by the music of Eastern Europe, Italy and Brazil among others. Monique performs and improvises in many different genres, specializing in classical, Baroque, jazz, contemporary pop and is also the singer, pianist and violinist in her original band which incorporates an artful hybrid between jazz, classical, rock and pop.

Tony Ventura (electric and upright bass) has a BA in Music from City College of New York (Ron Carter). Some of his Broadway and Off-Broadway credits include RENT, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, PIRATE QUEEN, TONY AND TINA’S WEDDING and MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL. He has been seen on the SOPRANOS playing bass beside Nancy Sinatra and in the Disney movie ENCHANTED.  Other film credits include LIPSTICK JUNGLE, BOARDWALK EMPIRE, DAMAGES and MAD MEN.  Tony has worked with numerous singers including Lou Christie, Mel Carter, Darlene Love, Jay and the Americans, Nelson Brothers, Bobby Rydell, The Drifters, The Tokens and Shirley Austin Reeves.  He has worked with jazz guitarist Melvin Sparks, Shinobu Ito and jazz saxophonist Junior Cook.  He is a busy freelancer in the jazz, blues and R&B circuit in the NYC/NJ area.
